Is it comparable to Sweden's Visby class stealth corvette?

Now this would be a cool ship to build:

      Arenal Ship

      Ugly...yes. But cool!

That one actually looks pretty nice. Obviously US designers have a keener sense of style than the British ones.

When she enters service later this decade she will be the world’s most advanced anti-air warfare destroyer.
Ah, BAE shamelessly throwing facts to the side in favor of advertising.

We shall see I guess, Having spent a month off off the Hebridies with the HMS Invincible, York, and various French/German frigates this past May I have absolutely no confidence in their anti-air abilities (not the people, but the equipment). Not only did we see every target before they did, we engaged and killed them before they saw any of them. FOSNI had to actually tell us to turn off our radars for a day so that the Brits could get some practice before their deployment.

It looks to me like the German Sachen-class is far superior to this vessel. Though they have the same problem all navies trying to implement phased array technologies have right now (ie Spanish, Chinese, Japanese), which is they lack the 20+ years the US has learning and updating them, and when we sell the tech we don't give the manuels

I am very impressed witht the new Meko classes coming out, which Singapore will be getting soon, very well rounded.

As far as I can tell they only claim to modern this thing has is that is a newer hull, and that is about it. What good is a mission specific destroyer?

The funny thing is that everyone either not has noticed or just ignored the fact that this particular baby is on it's last voyage and actually are a piece of scrap metal.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

If only Hull was at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of North Carolina.

Buddy, a Littoral Combat Ship could stomp a Visby, which is nothing more than a glorified patrol boat. (Well, so is the LCS...but better)

The American Arleigh Burke would dispute that, what with 360 degree radar coverage and teh SM-2ER and SM-3's!
