Another scary DVD story:

I thought it would be good to sell my old cd player and just get a dvd (top play both dvd and cd).

After selling my old cd player I noticed that the DVD player is making annoying noises while spinnig the cd.

What can I say... no more new-age music for me...

The noise is louder whey playing CDs. Apparently its a feature...

They tried fixing it, but there is nothig wrong with it. Its not even a cheap dvd...

Daz, but the CD plays alright? If so the only thing I can think of is a lack of synch in the motor between CD spin speed and DVD spin speed. IIRC a DVD spins faster than a CD. At least that how it works in the computer... But If I were you I´d try to return it because if it claims to play CDs it should do so flawlessly!
