Bookkeeping requirements? Do they mean for taxes? If so, what's the free speech problem?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

I think they're saying that the gvmt shut them down on a technicality.
You know...like how Al Capone was caught due to tax evasion.

I got distracted by Rate My Kitten....how can you not just rate every single one of those a 10?
Anyway...yeah, it was because of underage people. Can't blame Bush for that. A forum I go to (it's bear + chive) had similar problems but they just had strict moderating about it to make sure people don't post random stuff from web shots or the like."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear

Oh, well in that case, this ain't a free speech issue at all. If you have a child porn law (and you can debate if that anti-free speech on another thread), making sure a site abides by it isn't, IMO, a technicality.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

If the gov't has evidence these people put up images of minors, isn't the burden of proof on the gov't? Here the gov't is telling these people to prove their images are not of minors, thats like telling people accused of a crime they have to prove their innocense.Anyway...yeah, it was because of underage people. Can't blame Bush for that.
If these people were producing kiddie porn they'd be getting prosecuted. The gov't doesn't have the evidence to prosecute so they put the burden of proof on the site. Prove those breasts are 18+ year old? This is a legalistic, i.e., technical way to turn upside down the principle of innocent until proven guilty.Oh, well in that case, this ain't a free speech issue at all. Except there were underage girls on there. Parents found out about it, but since the creators of the site did not know, they didn't get prosecuted for that.Originally posted by Berzerker
