or maybe having too much disposable income added to an equality in drinking(for maybe the first time?) for young men+women and no moral guidence in our 'godless' culture with a distinct lack of direction given by the current crop of parents to their children and the idolising of 'pop-culture' or vacuous tv over all else?

i blame the parents, although it could all be symptoms of the 'junk food' generation getting old enough to drink?

I have noticed that too with my Russian friends. The myth that Russians are good at drinking is certainly true. However, they consistently seem to be rather lousy at tolerating what they drink

He had a bad habit of spilling half of what he was attempting to drink, too. And crying.

Nice guy, though. He meant well.

I'm pretty sure the heavy increase wine consumption lately hasn't made Swedes more sober ...

So places like Poland/Finland/Russia arent harder drinkers than the british? seems a bit unlikely, even with our current binge-drinking culture?

I'm sure you get lots of hard drinking drunks there but you folks have your livers give out sooner then they do. Or maybe it's because the Russians die of other things first. Who knows?
