    Well, according to their faq...

Why do you need to know my zip code?

At this time we are only licensed to offer Pandora music services to residents of the United States. Audio streaming regulations differ from country to country, and we are working on acquiring the proper licenses so we can legally offer Pandora outside of the United States. We require your zip code to confirm that you are a resident of the United States.

    Meh - just use 90210.

Anyway, I set up a station for The Fall, and they must only have three Fall songs in their library cause I've already heard one twice. Some of the groups they associate with The Fall are ok, but a lot of them are crap.

Maybe I'll try Talking Heads next and see what happens.

first impressions - it seems really good for IDM/ambient, trip hop, electro and industrial stuff. reasonable for breaks and d'n'b. rather poor for trance and progressive house.

overall though, it's definatly worth checking out.

maybe its dial up limitation but the music keeps freezing up. The amount of time it freezes seems to match the amount of music following the break.

                From the FAQ:

A broadband Internet connection is required; dialup is not supported.

breaks - the crystal method, plump djs, future funk squad

but no drumattic twins or evil nine

drum 'n' bass - concord dawn, adam f, klute

but no cause 4 concern, john b or pendulum

so yeah, a bit hit and miss.

a music site that doesn't have Dvorak on its database it's total garbage
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Don't be such a snob. (What's the big deal about Dvorak anyway?) Anyway, they don't have any classical and here's why

The Music Genome Project doesn't contain any classical music at this time. We're still trying to figure out how to tackle that animal...

hmm maybe the whole site isn't total garbage, but they should have classical music

This is worth checking out. I had it running all day yesterday, and it never lost connection or anything... just worked perfectly

I have heard a lot of good songs I've never even heard of before, though today it seems like I get to hear the same ones as yesterday

I haven't recieved anything in the mail from them (but you can always just use some hotmail account if you're not sure about it)

IIRC they mentioned something about advertising, but I haven't noticed anything yet, but I have no doubt it'll come...

They have a lot of real old big-band stuff
