I think polygamy is perfectly acceptable in any society, as long as it is entirely consentual by all parties involved.

By Sharia law, a Muslim man may take up to 4 wives. Why should any one tell him he can't, if he find 4 women willing to marry him?

You're right. There are places that require women to be covered up from head to foot on pain of death for an exposed ankle. They are a better model to follow?

No, that is a model of what happens when religious moral values become intwined with law.

You would be the one advocating the most similar position. Ninot and I are all about freedom, you're all about removing that freedom because you think people are too stupid to make their own decisions.

I find it peculiar that people are interpreting an aversion to women being victims of exploitation to be based on religious principles that I have never expressed.

More like any opposition to a libertine lifestyle is kneejerk equated with religion.
