Nahhhh... Stewart just bumped his old thread.

We go to a traditional "family obligations are over" party. It's called Mercernaries Day, and there is much regifting and drinking among the group. Every year, Christmas Day evening.

    See ya at Mercenaries Day

I usually spend Christmas Day being upset and anxious over the fact that my girlfriend and the bestfriend I'm secretly in love with spend the whole day together and it's incredibly awkward for me. Well, now that that girlfriend is an ex (she has been for three years, actually, but the two still hung out) and the bestfriend doesn't talk to me anymore (that's new), I guess I won't have to worry about that any more. Cool.

No, the best friend I lost for completely unrelated reasons. This is just one of the consequences of the loss. One of the little reminders which jabs me in the something or other.

The ducks were rather sleep-inducing. I got a strong coffee afterwards yet fell on my bed for about 2 hours. Then (midnight) stayed up a bit longer. Was not so good a night.
