So when we have a string of mild winters (like recently) that is evidence against global warming?

Looking at temperatures for a single country in a single year/season when dealing with global warming is retarded.

I'd quite like some days of sub-zero maxima. We didn't have any last winter

That's not a correction, that's a statement about something else that's also retarded.

I'd prefer colder winters, and cooler and drier summers rather than the crap we've had the last ten years.

Well apart from a lot of rain about a month ago, we had a brilliant Summer and so far another mild Winter, apart from a few days...

Now if I lived in Birmingham where that tornado hit, or the bits that got flooded I might agree with you.
