Well, at least I now know how many helium-filled balloons need to be tied to a 4-year-old before she floats away and whether a sunken ship can be refloated by filling it with ping pong balls.

A better myth was the "son of a gun" myth, about a civil war calvary guy who was supposedly shot with a miniball. According to legend, the ball passed through his tibia, thru his "family jewels" then travelled about a hundred years where it penetrated a young lady's abdomen, impregnating her. The Mythbusters proved that, although the tragectory of the bullet was possible, the "biological material" would not have remained on the miniball during its flight. Myth Busted!
Well as a virtuous young lady she had to come up with some explanation and probably didn't think immaculate conception would work

(Okay, they kind of wimped out and used a mannequin instead of a real person, and they never quite got it across the border...but it was a cool concept.)
The Mexicans did this in Tijauna last month. They had a giant net on the American side to catch people who were sling shotted over the border fence. Kind of cool to see the pictures.

How about giving us a link?

Was she his Great Granddaughter or something? Clearly bogus.

Mythbusting is fun. It shows popular stupidity.

In Germany there's a popular book called the Encyclopedia of Popular Myths.

A fun read. Did you know that Hamburgers are indeed related to the city of Hamburg?
