Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

The Director's Cut is really something to see.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Would have liked to have seen more of Duvall's character at the second half of the movie though.
"PBY Streetgang, this is Almighty, we're putting on the music...."
And the Redux is the Director's cut afaik
I don't think its as good as the released version. The extra scenes don't add much.Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

I prefer the theatrical release of Apocalypse Now, as Horsie suggests the added scenes didn't add much or advance the story meaningfully, and they disrupted the pacing of the film. He's got the Midas touch.
But he touched it too much!
