You deny that Christianity is a part of some people's culture?

Being a part of some people's culture is not the same as being a culture.

You have an argument that it's religious intolerance. Anything else is laughable.

So it's ok to make fun of part of someone's culture and to bring up past instances of that part to try to label a group people associated with the modern version as barbarians?

Did I say it was? I just called you on your BS terminology, sir.

Yes, I acknowledged and asked for a better term. I wasn't being sardonic when I asked, I really wanted to know.

I don't think it's ok. I think it is perfectly fine to point out when someone is spouting barbaric ideas in the name of a group/ideology/religion/what-have-you, though.

Ask UR and you may get a different, however. I don't claim to speak for him.

Yes, but no one was spouting barbaric ideas in the name of a group or idealogy.

I was simply pointing out that Christianity is quite tolerant of this stuff compared to some other religions. I suppose that's part of the reason that they are the targets of these kinds of groups. That site claims to be athiest, but I couldn't find anything specifically about Judaism, Islam, or any one of the number of religions spouting spiritual and unprovable belilefs.

Well, given that the writer is probably coming from a western context, it makes sense for him to criticise the dominant religion of his own culture. That way he won't fall into making racist or culturally biased attacks when all he wants to be is religiously intolerant.

Moreover, since he is a Westerner, Christians are probably the religionists that bug him the most frequently.
