  • who's done with their christmas shopping?

    I am.

. Thank god too. Is there anyone but women or gay guys who actually enjoy shopping? Ugh, I hate it. But at least it wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday. I never go shopping on the weekends. No matter what.

I'm going to do all mine at the Christkindlmarkt in Vienna. It will only take me one night; I intend to fuel my excursion with several liters of mulled wine. Baby Jesus approves.

      I haven't started.

There is a great mall two blocks from my office in the downtown core and my experience is that it is much less crowded there on December 23-24 than almost any time in the prior 6 weeks.

      So I wait.

Plus my wife does all the Christmas shopping and all I have to buy is stuff for her

Haven't started either. I'm taking the 19th off, so I'm targeting that day to do almost all of it.

I ordered most of my stuff online, so I was in and out of the mall (once I'd found a parking space) in five minutes last Saturday (had to get perfume for my mom, and in hindsight I should have just ordered that online too and paid the s&h).

When I was a teen in suburban Chicago, I lived not far from what was then the Biggest Mall on Earth, the Woodfield Mall in Schaumberg. Embracing the delerium that can only come from pure masochism, my friends and I would do all our Xmas shopping at Woodfield, on Christmas Eve. It's the only time I ever truly enjoyed shopping for the holidays. Now I'm done with 10 days to spare, and never even entered a mall -- but where's the adrenaline rush?

The pink Nintendo DS + nintendogs game pack going out of stock left right and centre really forced my hand on the christmas shopping this year. I rarely ever by presents in reasonable time for christmas

Thank goodness for working at retail and having a higher-discount-day a few weeks before christmas

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
