    No one has commented on what appears to me to be the stupidest idea in history? They've been running commercials about these stupid things.

    If anyone buys me a McDonald's gift card I'll punch them in their face. To think they think that much of me they want me to clog my arteries with that junk.

    Haven't eaten McDonald's in over 6 years and proud of it.

      (However, the commercials do suck big time)

        They should give a discount when you buy something with the gift card, 5% or 10%. Then maybe they would sell better.
        It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

                            Around here, almost any kind of shop has gift cards.
                            You don't get discount or anything and they are rather popular.

                            It's sort of like the mid-option between giving cash and buying a gift I suppose.
