This morning the office secretary woke up to find her car stolen. She'd assumed the lease from the original leasee because he was a jack ass who couldn't pay his bills, however, before assuming the lease he told my co-worker that all of the required maintaince had been done on time. Being a girl she didn't take it to a mechanic to check so a few month later she took it in because it was running strangely and it turns out no maintaince has been done on it in almost 60k miles (supposedly even the oil was sludge like it had never been changed).
So any ways she gets pissed and calls the guy (who she mails checks to) that she wants him to pay for the repairs that the fellow had previously claimed he'd done. When the fellow refuses she decides to sue his ass and gets an attorney to serve him the papers. That was yesterday and today the car suddenly goes missing. If there is any question about who took the car it was made perfectly clear when this jackass calls her up at 9am (he never calls) just to ask her if she's missing something. She had him on speaker phone so her boyfriend could hear this idiot gloating about the crime he'd just committed. They report him to the police who find the stolen car sitting in his driveway. People are stupid.
Another example of how people are stupid involves a car wreck I saw today at lunch. (I had just gotten out of a Greek restaurant where the Bulgarian or Turkish looking waiter had asked me three times what I wanted, every time I said the exact same thing right off of the menu, yet some how I still got the wrong food but that is another story). So anyway this idiot woman in a big SUV is driving about 35 mph in the parking lot and she's trying to both talk on her cell phone and buckle her seat built at the same time. Neither of her hands were on the steering wheel and she was looking down at the belt buckle so despite going twice the posted speed limit she wasn't watching where she was going and she didn't have a hand on the steering wheel. To no one's surprise she hit a parked car whose owner came running out to inspect the damage.
This fat idiot of a women then accused the elderly owner of the parked Camry of deliberately parking his car to far out. I looked at it and the Camry was well in the marked parking space and not even its tail end was sticking out. This stupid driver couldn't figure out how driving twice the posted speed limit, not paying attention, and not having control over her 10,000 pound piece of **** SUV added up to make it her fault. Some how it must have been the parked car's fault that she ran into it.
I'm giving up on humanity. We should be put out of our misery since we're to stupid to live.
