  • Snowing in Seoul

We've had about 4 inches in the last few hours

When do we get Christmas smilies?

Of course the Canucks will now come in and say they've had 4 feet

Everything looks beautiful, its evening. Traffic chaos though.

It was heavy before but still coming down lightly

Apparently it is recently - they only got some in February last year.

Everything is covered this morning. My outdoor table looks like a wedding cake.

Wow, thats quite rare! The people must go nuts when it happens I guess.

Here in Finland having snow isnt that rare but we had a freak weather phenomenon here too just a week ago. I've never witnessed a thunderstorm in December let alone while its snowing heavily but I guess its possible. It lasted about an hour and it was really really weird. The meteorologists later explained that this sort of phenomenon were extremely rare and in fact this was only the second time it was ever recorded before.

It's not very rare to have some snow, it is rare to have any reall accumulation. Korean winters are DRY. Later on we'll get some nasty dry cold mixed in with nasty Siberian wind...

Didn't see much snow when I was in Korea (93-94). There was more in the North.
