UEFA cup is overrated in that system compared to the Champions League. I think they get the same points which is crazy. Plus the Romanians seem to be winning by having played more qualifying games?

We've got both kinds -
Ehrm, the UEFA coefficients are measured over 5 years, not over 1. If the season ended today, no real changes would take place in the top 8 and Rumania would only rank 15th: http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Ekassiesa/ber...crank2006.html
And as Mike says, the current score doesn't mean much, many points are still to be given away, and teams which are eliminated don't score any points. The traditional top 5 doesn't really start racking up points until after the winter, especially since a lot of bonus points are given to CL teams at that point, which overall makes the system fairly balanced IMO. By no means perfect, but hey, nobody's perfect...Comment
