  • Computer Question - Upgrading

I am thinking of upgrading my computer bit by bit. For example, getting a video card one month and then a DVD ROM the next month and so on. A friend tells me that Windows XP might not accept new hardware because it was verified using the original components that came with the computer. Can anyone tell me what the score is on upgrading a computer that uses Windows XP?

I added a cd-rw, no problems at all.

You won't have a problem adding any peripherals.
        What?
