  • Wimpy UK grinds to a halt the moment the first snows appear...

    Hundreds stuck on snow-hit moor

Every ****ing time a snowflake threatens to drift our way there's national panic and the roads and transport system grinds to a halt - it's a national disgrace!

Hundreds of people are now in a very real danger of being stranded overnight in their cars just because of a few inches of snow due to a crash around lunchtime.

Apparently the crash involved dozens of cars - obviously cos dickheads in this country are so ****ing incompetent that they don't give themselves enough of a stopping distance during bad weather...

The temperatures aren't even below freezing yet!

Still, hopefully the Jamaica Inn is a bit more welcoming these days...

Well I'm hoping the snow is still around on the Brecon Beacons come Monday when I'll have time to drive up there for a quick hike - unfortunately I'm playing Paintball tomorrow (though snow might still be around on the low ground ) and am involved in an American Football game on Sunday...

Well being buried in urbanisation, it never quite reaches, and if it does, it's probably black

The British are as bad as Southerners.

You know, you're probably going to end up with a couple of deaths. That's ****ing pathetic.
                    What?

You mean British Southerners are as bad as Southerners.

I wasn't sure whether you meant the (surely defunct now?) burger chain, or the construction company, but apparently it's neither.

                        No snow in Leeds yet.

Just curious: do most brits keep the same tires all year long or do you go to 4 seasons for the winter period? I can't believe you would actually need winter tires.
                          What?

No-one I know does, but I don't have a car so I'm not the expert on this. Surely ordinary tyres and snowchains would be (more than) enough.

Snow chains. Haven't heard of those in a long time.
