  • One thing I am not thankful for

    MY sunroof blowing off.

I just drove to and from a freinds house (For thanksgiving). I hd a plastic bag over my sun roof, but it wasn't all tight (but it was well secured down).

So it vibrated the whole way up and down. Very very very loud, I am sure I just lost a bit of hearing. I mean, it sounds like jackhammers or something.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I used to lament about not having a sunroof, until I met a man who had no steering wheel.

the problem is when it rains...

and when I am driving on the interstate

              it is not quite undrivable..

(sun roof does not mean fancy, I bought the car for ~500, and it looks it)

                Buy a sheet of plexiglass
Drill holes in your roof (the roof of your car, Jon)
                Bolt the plexiglass in place
Seal the edges with duct tape

                  yeah

                  that is the idea

I think I am going to do it tomorrow (hating to drive the car anywhere is just getting annoying)

                  (would epoxy work?)

Note: plexiglass should be inside the car. I bear no responsibility for what happens if you put it on the outside.

                      never thought of that

I was going to bolt/epoxy it on the outside

Epoxy might work. I would rather have hardware in there too. I have no faith in bonding agent holding up indefinitely.

You could try using a few layers of plastic. That might make it heavier and more resistant to the wind. You could also put Dcuttape on th pastic so it won't be as flexible.
