lately I've been listening to a lot of cradle of filth.

also some apocalyptica and metal church (first 2 albums only)

when I'm at work I primarily listen to classical and jazz. 89.7 and 91.5 on the radio dial.

edit: I've also been listening to Sepultura.

Nick Drake-Five Leaves Left-"Time has told me". Good stuff.
Also a few of Mozart's Sonatas [A minor K. 310, C Major K330 and F Major K 533]. Have to say I find Mozart a little too shrill. More modern pianists have a bit more style to 'em.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

Burial - Extol (When walking to my job)
Bach - Sonata No.1 in B Minor(BWV 1014) Violonist is Carmignola!!!, excellent recording. (Wheen cooking I usually listen to classical music)

Tori Amos - From the choirgirl hotel (When I study)

I have 4 different version(4 CD) of the 4 season of Vivaldi, the two best I have is Carmignola and Anne Sophie Mutter. If anybody want to "re"discover the 4 season, I must urge you to find the one with Anne Sophie Mutter.

          @Dis: Which one from Sepultura?

Molly, you must spending a bundle on CD's...

                  Recent acquisitions:

                  Ladytron - Witching hour

Boards of Canada - The campfire headphase (Its a good album, but I can't help but feel that their sound lost its uniqueness. It sounds a bit more generic than their previous albums.)

Bauhaus - The sky's gone out

                  Bauhaus - Swing the heartache

                  The Cure - Pornography

Yes, yes, I'm buying CD versions of albums I already had in vinyl, but sold for some stupid reason.

                              Not at the moment.

I sold a whole load of vinyl I'd had since I was a teenager- and as I'm now 42, it brought in a fair amount of spendies.

I'm now lighter of Otis Redding's 'Dictionary Of Soul', 'Aretha Arrives!', 'A Girl Called Dusty', Eno's 'Evening Star' and all my Obscure label records, the Throbbing Gristle albums and so on.

I've hung on to the 7" singles and the 12" singles out of sentiment's sake, and still have one or two cassettes lying around.

There was little point in keeping all my old Gil Scott Heron albums, for instance, as I'd replaced them with c.d. copies anyway, and they enabled me to purchase some c.d.s I'd be wanting to buy for quite a while.

And London is blessed with some great second hand record shops and charity shops, where you can get promotional copies of c.d. albums for as little as one pound- such as Grant Lee Phillips's 'Virginia Creeper'.

Even that Mazzy Star in store promo which goes for big bucks on Ebay cost me less than a full price normal c.d. .

                              It pays to shop around...

And I've been playing all the things which were in storage while I was in Australia.

Today's listening pleasures were brought to me by Brian Eno: Textures

                              and Kraftwerk: Komputerwelt.
