I think a Steve Martin-movie did that... After a fashion.

Eh? Batman is just a man is his peak physical form. Superman is, well, superhuman.
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Wasn't John Candy reanimated for a scene or two in Canadian Bacon? He died during production and iirc he was digitally inserted in a scene.

Tell Batman, I've moved from Gotham City and I won't be back, I promise.

He wasn't going to beat you up. Only enlighten you to the fact that a movie going over what everyone knows (In this case Batman's origin) can still be fresh and entertaining.

Actually, they are not redoing the 'birth of superman', those shots are just flashbacks that superman will have.

Basically, Superman 2006 takes off where Superman II left off. (WB wants people to forget SIII and IV). And the reason Superman has been missing for the past 20+ years is because he has travelled to Krypton to survey it, that's why you see some sort of spaceship travelling through an icey canyon in the teaser.

Tattilla, while Superman is extremely powerful, Batman is very cunning. It really depends on the situation. If you put Superman and Batman in a cage and make them fight, then of course Superman is going to win. But if Batman were to plan to kill Superman in some odd time, then there's quite a good chance he will achieve it.
