        Town of Goths?

According to my linguistics, English the most closely related language to (Old) English in the Indo-European Germanic family is actually Gothic, and we would know almost nothing about the gothic language if it wasn't for a missionary who translated the bible into Gothic.

People there must spend their days raping and pillaging, pillaging and raping, day in, day out....doesn't it get a little old?
        "Wait a minute..this isn''t FAUX dive, it's just a DIVE!"
"...Mangy dog staggering about, looking vainly for a place to die."

well I ask because it's actually a real city, in Sweden

            a.k.a Gøteborg

and I may have to move there

            Never really been there*

            Need information

This is probably not the best place to ask, but I don't post on any other forums, and there are quite a few Swedes here so who knows, maybe I can extract some inside information.

Where is a nice place to live? I prefer somewhere central

            Tack så hemskt mycket.

*Actually I've been there many times as a kid. Liseberg amusement park . We used to pass GB on our way to family in Skåne or take the ferry from there over to Denmark almost every summer. But that doesn't really count.

I always confuse it with Malmö...anyway

Gothenburg...can you actually have a cooler name for a city?

Göteborg is the second largest city in Sweden I think it has around half a million inhabitants. Personally I don't like the place but I may be a bit biased because of certain football related matters.

If you want to live anywhere near the central parts the prices are probably outrageously high as they are in all major swedish cities. It has no subway but they have these carts, I can't remember what they're called in english. Spårvagnar. You can always take the ferry to Norway if you're feeling homesick.
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

Was it Gotheborg or Malmo that had the highest immigrant population?

                        First I think "German"

                        Then I think "Gutenberg"

Haparanda has the highest % immigrant population.
