Of course. Some of us just aren't ready to embrace reality just yet. BTW: It now has a spin off: "West Wing in a Skirt."

NOw THAT was a clever show. Just curious, what about a West Wing thread made you think of it?

What do you mean what about a West Wing thread made him think of it? I thought it was widely known at Aaron Sorkin did both.

Ahh I didn't know/recall that. I generally don't pay attention to producers/heck even actors -- But even knowing that I was curious what triggered the link.

I thought it might have been the Will Bailey character since that actor was in Sportsnight as well IIRC . . but you know I don't recall his name-- (I'm the same with movies-- I can watch a lead actor/actress for 3 hours and have no ideas who they are . . nor do I care really)

I also thought he might have been thinking of clever and witty dialogue which I found they both had in common.

West Wing in a Skirt doesn't appeal to me (I can see "the Skirt" part becoming a focus), and it's on against House and My Name is Earl & The Office.

Would being from a state have an impact or enough of one to sway things? I thought the theory was that they are each INCREDIBLY popular in their home states and being senators would have had to win state iwde votes before.

The Dems need to bridge a roughly 30 point margin to win TX. No one gets that kind of swing from his or her home state, when running against someone on the Eisenhower end of the Republican Party. Geography is far less important than ideology, nowadays. That's why Gore lost TN in 2000, Kerry/Edwards lost NC by a large margin, etc.

And if by some miracle that happens, the candidate does not lose California. Period.

Then you miss out on two of the best comedies on television. My Name is Earl and The Office are just brilliant.

I dunno. I loved Geena Davis as a pirate (Cutthroat Island) and a hostess to aliens (Earth Girls are Easy) and as a newsreporter (Hero), but I just can't envision her as President.
