Having been to the palace shown in the picture I can say absolutely there isn't much to see. They're just big and guady and the main palace has been blown to hell by multiple J-Dams. The others are wose for the wear by having been used as one of the main US military bases though the quality of the construction was way below par to start with. We started a fire in one of the old fire places and all the marble stone work cracked from the heat and those stones which didn't crack had their glue give out and fell off, there are no sewers and the septic tanks are tiny & prone to over flowing plus the clay pipes back up if you put toilet paper in them.

The place looks big and impressive but everything is substandard in them.

The ones on the island got given over to the ICDC who treated it even worse then the Americans. The place is shot. the water palaces are a bit better but the sewage dumps directly into the decorative pond meaning it is a big nasty smelling open sewer and the swimming pool draws water right out of the Tigris which is also a nasty open sewer. Nothing but half dead date palms grow there.

      Versailles it is not.
