This war is no small matter. If there were mistakes made, they should be rooted out and identified. If wrongdoings were done, those people should be identified and punished. This isn't China. We shouldn't ignore these things because it might make powerful people look bad or cause controversy.

Yes, he was among a handful of people (outside of the CIA)

            easy explanation please
A former US ambassador was tasked by the CIA to investigate the Administration's claims that Saddam had attempted to buy uranium from Niger and his report found the claims to be baseless. He publically said as much and then the administration attempted to punish him by exposing his wife's identity; since she was a former CIA undercover agent this was a felony.

Several administration officials then took part in a cover up to hide the administration's part in exposing the agent's identity and that's why charges were filed against the VP's chief of staff and why Karl Rove is still under investigation. Many people want them to be charged for the actual exposure of the CIA agent however the law on that revolves around the intent of the exposure and it is very difficult to prove what there intent once they'd lawyered up.

I think it's more than a little underhanded too. A good portion of the democratic senators supported this war, so the only escape hatch for them is to insinuate that they were lied to.

Absolutely Dan. It's not like another reason to believe that this Adminstration has tried to mislead the Senate Intelligence Committee on Iraq popped up last week.

To question the Administration's infallible honesty marks Reid, Durbin, Rockafeller, etc. as the most treasonous of this nation's terrorcommies.

You took my sarcastic line, "Why do you hate America" seriously?? That was a jibe at how conservatives have used that line when they couldn't come up with an effective counterargument -- whether it be in debates on newsshows, or here on Apolyton.
