I just have to drop in another time: how is Italy a "nazi" country? Please, let's keep in mind the distinciton between the one totalitarian regime with repression of the populace as well as strongly organised private life on the one hand, and Nazi Germany on the other. The reason we do this is the way of warfare in the east and the holocaust. thank you.

Having read the whole thread - I think Germany would have invaded Greece in any case. They couldn't allow to have a "soft belly" in the Balkans. Why did Italians invade Greece anyway? I don't know much about that period.
BTW, I think casaulties from Greek civil war are also counted towards Greek WWII casaulties, and such wars are usually even bloodier than invasions.Comment
