And btw, CONGRATULATIONS Imran! You have just signed yourself up for billable hour slavery in perpetuity (after a suitable amount of time in dull government work, of course).

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Okay. We used L&W London. Awesomely efficient and deadly professional. I wish Vilnius lawyers were anywhere close.

Actually, I've got nothing bad to say about L&W. It doesn't surprise me that you had a good impression. Just had to get a small dig in.

Also, I'd imagine that Vilnius and US attorneys aren't directly comparable. For one, we have different professional education systems. For another, attorneys probably are used in the US differently than in Vilnius. Lastly, US attorneys in private practice who are at the top of their games tend to work awful long hours, so the knife is rather sharp...

I note that HershelO never had a good thing to say about the attorneys coming out of the US system. I never understood his gripes, but this illustrates that there may be dissenting viewpoints about about US attorneys.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Sorry, but I'm an English nearly-qualified accountant, why would you have to qualify for more than one bar?
Does the exam you've passed only let you practise in one state?

I guess it's easier to become a member of another bar if you're already a member in one.
