Several observations:
The Eurozone's net migration was over 1.5 million, the total of the EU was over 1.8 million: both 4 times the natural increase.
Spain and Italy combined accounted for over 1.1 million of the net immigration, although their figures are skewed by the regularisation of illegal immigrants. (accounting for about 400.000 people in Spain IIRC)
These two countries, together with Ireland and Cyprus had the biggest net migration rates.
Though I find it hard to believe, the net migration rate has been bigger in the Eurozone and the EU than it has been in the US during 2003 and 2004.
France had the biggest natural increase, constituting for 2/3 the total natural growth of the Eurozone and over half the EU's total.
Germany's population fell for the 2nd year in a row due to a negative natural growth and lack of immigration to make up for it.
