Well if they knew it was that bad and sold it anyway, shouldn't they have to pay more for their fraud? I mean if that's so, they know the problem, but don't care.Originally posted by Provost Harrison

While I do think the surface of mynano scratches too easily it's definatly not a question of it becomming unreadable, the scratches aren't hard to remove either if you know how to take care of such things

Hmmm, that's an interesting point...I would understand the concern if it was something critical (like medication or something so critical) but I have never thought about it in the context of something like consumer electronics...Originally posted by Imran Siddiqui

You shouldn't have to put up with something if it isn't right though...Originally posted by Henrik

A display will scratch a little if you keep it in your pocket I was kind of expecting that
(though possibly not this quickly)
So far there's just one scratch
EDIT: Also so far I haven't failed to get a replacement for any product from apple when I tried, even with the worst of reasons given for wanting one. They'll usually just send you a new package and ask that you return the old one. All this within 3 days and without any charge. No Fighting here, this is the war room!

How many replacements have you required?! Sounds like you ought to look at a competitor who doesn't produce such shoddy productsOriginally posted by Henrik

Wasn't there an Asher thread on this? I tought someone posted an article where Apple claimed the sot screens were the result of a bad batch from the supplier or something.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

My Zen Touch is still in great shape even though I've treated it as poorly as I normally treat my other possessions. There is one scratch on the screen but I packed it into a bag with my toe nail clippers and a bunch of other sharp stuff when I went to Costa Rica and some where during the flight it got a scratch. I can't really say that is the manufacturer's fault though.Originally posted by Provost Harrison

Last weekend I went on a three day trip to Yosemite and the battery lasted the whole time even though it was playing almost continously while we were driving.

Apple owns digital music right now. Their competitors better do something or they will be out of business.
And Creative's players look like relics next to the new iPods.Only feebs vote.
