I have a morbid fascination with obituaries. The local paper has a page devoted to those locals who have passed recently. Each obit has the standard listing of cause of death, surviving family members, and funeral info. What fascinates me is that under each name, there is a subtitle consisting of age plus two or three words that are supposed to sum up for you who this person was. It's almost mockery - it's better that they dont even include the words..

Yesterday, I saw an obit for a 70-year-old man leaving a wife, 4 children, and 9 grandchildren and his summary was "Avid Bowler". I thought, "My God, all of this guys hopes and dreams, loves and hates, joy and despair, successes and failures are summed up as 'Avid Bowler'".

I began to think about what two or three words I would want in my obit subtitle. Here are some ideas I had:

    'Chick Magnet'
'Nice Calves' - (I do have extremely well-developed calves from my soccer-playing days)
    'Charming yet Engaging'
    'Sexy Bastard'

Brundlefly, are you on drugs, or just delusional?

"I told you I was sick!"
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

And here's a couple of cool quotes from Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Terminator" movies that would work well in my obit:

            'I'll be back'
            'F*** you, a**hole'

They only give you a 2-3 word subtitle if you are a local.

One of the main characters in "Closer" was an obit-writer and had a little dialogue about them
