I think some conservative orgs are cruisin' for a bruisin'. Normally, in the GOP, you don't show up your president and live to tell about it.

Anyway, I would still make the bet again, if given the chance. But I'm buying this time!
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I"m skepitical now that the link I posted is legit. I can't imagine Luttig (or anyone in his position) to totally go off the deep end ranting like he does on that site.

That's what you always do! You should be forced not to pay this time.

I just read the rest of that 'blog'. I'm SERIOUSLY DOUBTING that is actually J. Michael Luttig's blog.

I'm going to throw out Michael McConnell as a possible replacement. He seems to be a candidate that the ulta-right who destroyed Meirs could support, and gossip has it that his name is being thrown around by those inside.

Thank the gods that Miers withdrew. Sometimes I wonder about America, but it's good to see some common sense prevail there.

I wouln't be so sure about that. I remeber hearing on NPR that she had flip-floped on her position on abortion depending on who she was speaking to in the past, she could of been a moderate. Bush is now pretty much forced to nominate a Bork or Scalia to placate the base he POed with Miers.

You mean, "Bork" is an actual name?

I can already imagine the "Supreme Judge Bork"

                                We don't have "Supreme Judges".

                                They are called Justices .
