As anyone who remembers me posting the age breakdown during the draft can guess, I have an anti-veteran bias this season. So that partially explains my willingness to part with Joseph, but the fact of the matter is that I had an extra starting goalie, who yes, I knew would be trade asset when I picked him up in the very last round.Originally posted by notyoueither
Suit yourself. Trade away a first round forward for a goalie who is one rush away from injury, and who is playing for a team that has had the best part of their season prior to now, and have the rough spots to look forward to.
Also, I think saying that Phoenix "has had the best part of their season" is total nonsense - they just reached .500 and have been predominantly playing the teams that they'll be playing the most all season long. Joseph is also .500, and not only has he not suffered a single blowout like many have, but also has two shutouts.
Oh, and Asher, had I known you planned to just dump Morrison, I'd have offered you Lindros or Savard instead. But go ahead and drop him - I'll pick him off the waiver wire and make you regret it.

Clearly, I think Joseph and Morrison are worth Ward and Lecavalier. A clear upgrade in net for one, a clear offensive upgrade for the other.Comment
