Specifically, I need this book, titled Rutherford Backscattering Analysis. It was published in 1986 and neither Amazon nor any of the sites that are supposed to get you cheap textboosk had any copies. How would I go about getting a copy?

Check the amazon z-shops. I remember when I wanted to find a copy of Yo****oshi ABe's out of print artbook for Serial Experiments: Lain. I contacted all sorts of shops until I found one in the z-shops. Got some free DVDs with it as well.
