    How do I make my Windows XP POS computer run in safe mode? I used to know but I forgot and I'm too stupid to figure it out...

      Something like F8 or F12 pressed repeatedly as your computer boots (right after the BIOS finished launching).

        Hmmm I tried mashing all of the F keys but that didn't do it, will try again after I get home from the cybercafe...

            Assuming you can actually get Windows to boot....

            Start -> Run -> msconfig -> boot.ini tab -> /safeboot
            If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.
