You mention Tom Lantos. Im quite sure he supported the liberation of Iraq, as did Richard Gephardt, and of course John McCain.

Im not sure of ther relevance of military service to being on the Supreme Court.

also you list Pat Buchanan. You seem not to be aware that Pat Buchanan OPPOSED the liberation of Iraq.

It says a lot about character of a man who serves in the military. They walk the walk.

Poppycock. It just shows they couldn't get a proper job...

This might be the strangest threadjack I've seen in a long time.

I don't like the Republican warmongers either, but isn't it easy to pick and choose the people who have and haven't served in the armed forces to support your bias? Couldn't you just as easily make a list of Democrats who've not served in the armed forces and a list of Republicans who have?
I no longer use this account.

                    What threadjack....

However, if I see another such threadjack, somebody is going to get restricted. Granted, this is just another typical troll... but still, stick to the topic.

First, I did not originally create this list -- a friend of mine forwarded it to me by e-mail.

Second, the list is definitely biased, but you said not a single Republican listed in it who served is mentioned. John McCain anyone?

Third, if you want to counteract this bias, post a list of Republicans that you know of, who have served in any branch of the armed forces.

I'd be interested to see a comparison of the Senate and House, as well as maybe SCOTUS? We already have the high secretary-level officials here...

In the Senate, there are 4 Dem Combat Vets, and 3 Rep Combat Vets, while in the House (in the 108th Congress - I can't find info for the current Congress) there are 12 Dems and 18 Reps.

So, the parties are roughly equivalent in this respect in Congress.

I mean this list is Democrat circle jerk. Dem pols like Jimmy Carter, who haven't been in government for over 20 years, are listed, but Bob Dole on the Republican side is conveniently left out.

Republican pundits are listed who didn't serve, but where is Michael Moore on the other side (among others)?

                                How blatent can you be?
