Well, we did it. We passed that stupid, "right to murder" law, which says that if you feel threatened, you can initiate the use of deadly force without attempting to flee. Now anyone can claim self-defense for murder, and the state has the burden of proving that the killer didn't actually feel threatened.

Sounds like a good loophole that racists can use to get away with hate crimes.

Well of course! Just pull out statistics showing that proprtionally, more blacks commit violent crimes than whites, and then use that to justify killing the next black man that you feel was a threat to you.

I still say this is the perfect chance for Militant Gay activists. They should go to some deep part of the panhandle and start kissing. When some *******s come and threaten them, open up.

I cannot remember the title of the Robert Heinlein story that actually took this to the extreme - but it will pay not to yell and be in people's faces in Florida from here on in.
