          The dutch are weird because they put sweet mayo on fries, we use sour-ish mayo.

            When I was in the Balkans they'd use mayo like the Dutch do and it wasn't to bad. They'd mix in paprika which was actually pretty good.

                    on some what related note...i am currently writing a paper (2 actually) about the arbitrary way belgium and the netherlands were split up (because the dutch indepence war, mostly amsterdams fault) and the other one about the economic shift from fladern to holland from the 13 thru to the 16 centuries...
