I have a pretty old amd-570 or something like that. Inside are 2 fans and a wheel that spins attached to a circuit board. The wheel is making a sound like its unbalanced or the bearing is going out. Anyone know what the wheel is and if its no biggie to replace?

That just looks like a fan for a chip. You maybe able to replace it depending on the design of the board. You may also be able to oil the fan.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

Berzerker - I had a huge amount of data corrupted by a stuck chipset fan - the one in the picture. Get one of those canned air blowers and blow out that small fan - it may be utterly filled with dust. While you are at it, blow out your entire case, I try to do that evey two years or so.The worst form of insubordination is being right - Keith D., marine veteran.
