Fixing plastic things

I was wondering if there is a way to fix the plastic around the place where the radio cd goes in the car. Because the thieve that stole my radio cd didn't do a professional job (get cancer and die whoever you are) there are "marks" around the radiocd place. so the plastic has deep scratches in some places.
this takes away from the "spaceship" allure of the interior.

does anyone know if there is a way to fix this, professionaly? changing the plastic can't be done because it is uniform with all the front inside of the car.

wouldn't silicon fix it?
I was thinking of just getting a black marker and just paint over the scrathes that have revealed a white shade but that wont solve the problem of the deep scratches.

i also don't like to get reminded that they broke into my car and those deep scratches remind me of that.

anyone had the same problem?
I can just ask the technician tomorrow and be done with it but I was just wondering.

It's been 7 years? Wow. Time flies.

I remember when I first heard about Google. I was in my Jr. High library and the librarian mentioned this "new" search engine like Google that was very good. I remember thinking it was a weird name, but I loved the site.
