My monthly income as of now, bout 450 euros. rent, 330 euros. 120 euros left, about 100 euros for food per month, no eating out, unless someone buys, meaning eating out maybe once a month or twice, and the 20 left goes to.. mostly food but I can go out with that also twice a month, buy beer with it. Or not, maybe I go out once or not a all, and then I can buy more food or something extra, like pants or shirt or maybe save it so next month I have 40 euros over but most likely it goes to food.

Then again, sometimes my grandpa sends me like 50 euros, almost every month, so in reality I have 170 left after rent every month, but then again it still mostly goes to food.

OVershooting with 8 grand a year? I'd be DEAD!



My advice is, spend less. Instead of buying two games a month, buy one game a month, Buy a GOOD game every month. Cut the drinking expenses to half at least, get drunk before going out, buy cheaper booze... you can do it and not miss out.. Eat out less. You 'll make the budget with really not even suffering any, just be ... strict and pay less for things you want to do.

ecthy, that's about the cheapest it goes where I'm at.
It's normal, I've been living like this for the past 2 years, it's not even that difficult anymore. It just means no eating out, no movie theaters, no drinking and parties too much, well drinking can be done but no to clubs and stuff, no new clothes, no games/dvds adn stuff like that. But you can make it up. I download my games and DVDs, I drink cheaply sometimes, I can eat out when someone offers to pay which happens every now and then, I just got 2 free movie tickets to theaters so.. I can still do the same things, I just need to.. watch out and be innovative with the solutions .

Oh, and you should add 50 euros to monthly income because my grandpa sends me that usually every month so 490 most of the times. It's the same with most students in here so.. I'm no special.

I CAN take student loans, which many do who don't have much money of their own, so it's been my option. I could go 200 euros, no wait this year they make it bigger, I could go 300 euros more, that woudl be student loan every month. I wouldn't even need that much to be COMFORTABLE, right? I'd get all the DVDs, clubs and clothes I wanted with that money, but I don't want to take loans.... But I figure.. this year I might take it few times, when I want to do something. It's stupid to be bored and live tight budget when you don't have to, because.. well.. I'm still young and in my prime of doing things

Mind you that rent includes internet, electricity and water. So it's not really that bad, plus it's single room flat with shower and kitchen so it' skind of cool. Definitely worth the price though. I'm lucky to have it .
