disclaimer: this is a brand new thought, and i'm thinking as i'm posting this, so i take no responsibility for rambling or incomplete/incoherent arguements ![Smile](https://apolyton.net/core/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Okay, this whole "licensing" issue is dangerous. The thing about it is it doesn't work towards consumer satisfaction at all.
If you go to a restaurant, and the food is bad, you can send it back and not have to pay for it. If you buy a good that is broken or doesn't work well, you can take it back and get your money back.
But this doesn't work at all for things you are only paying to license, like software, music, or dvds. If a person pays money for software, take it home, and it sucks, you are SOL. And i'd love to see someone's response if you tried to take back a cd or dvd because you thought it sucked.
The thing that concerns me most is what if this type of thing becomes acceptable to society, what other products will adopt it?
