Not sure about $100B, but it was certainly >$80B. Went to around $40B when the bubble bursted.

Btw, people who become billionares by inheritance . Parasites.

Bill Gates would have an additional $28B to his name, but he's given that away through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation since January 2000.

It's interesting to note that 8 out of the top 20 are there as heads/investors of technology companies. Rock on.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I wonder if Donald Trump is going to get pissy about his ranking again because he doesn't like to consider liabilities.

If they included an ego modifier, he might go up a couple of places.

Some of these people are ego hounds. But many aren't, surprisingly.

You mean just in the top 15? Because there's certainly Wall Street boys on the list.

Lots of Wall Street Boys, but they aren't our leaders. I think that's fitting.

I mean I.bankers. LBO guys and hedge fund managers don't count, they're not "Wall Street".

Bankers probably squander it all away on booze and expensive toys

The I bankers are all burned out by age 40 and are on their third wives. They aren't destined for billionairehood.
