  • Evecuation: What would you pack?

I've been thinking of this question in recent years, first during the Kosovo war and more recently during the storms in souther US.

If you had 6 hours to pack and escape from a natural disaster, war or similar, what would you pack? You know your house will soon be rubble or in land controlled by enemy forces, so that you can't ever return, so anything left behind could be considered to be abandoned.

          Important papers, photos, pets.
Any weapon I might want to carry.

You'd pack them? As opposed to, say, take them in a car with you, and travel with them?

See, even you guys see them as property. I don't see why your property should be given special considerations.

What is an evecuation? I can´t find this word on my Oxford dictionary
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Then buy the "semi-literate Scandanavian" edition.

Oh, and swap the second 'e' for an 'a'

I'd pack lightly. Less than 15 kilos. I'd get:

                          important papers, IDs etc.
                          first aid kit
Few clean boxers, socks and t-shirts
                          money
cell phone (if it should work)
                          camera
good backbag to fit this all into it with:
                          food
                          water
                          shotgun
                          handgun
                          ammo
                          knife
                          sleeping bag
                          cigarettes
                          lighter/matches
                          GOOD map
                          compass
                          good boots
                          raincoat
                          sunglasses
                          gasmask
                          In da butt.

Everything I own can be packed into a medium sized rucksack and a medium sized library. I guess I'll just leave the books.
