I stopped following Lost after half the first season, when I realised there would be more than one season. Why can't all TV series be like "Band of Brothers", where you have a limited number of episodes following a clear time line?

Well, Lost will have to have a short run. I'd say three seasons, tops. Network TV can do it. Remember Twin Peaks.
