lots of great guitarist left off..
of course its an opinion about the "solos" not the guitarist talent.
why i was wondering about poly opinions

                Only slightly Ameri-centric.

How about something from John Squire?

I miss the harmonic solo from Thin Lizzy's Black Rose 1979, by Gary Moore and Scott Gorham. Lots of metal bands have made harmonic similiar solos after them, but they were among the first and that solo still stands out as one of the best. KISS had a harmonic solo on Detroit Rock City already in 1976 (and others probably made it before them), but I think Thin Lizzy set the standard.
