I've recently built a new computer, and have two computers running on one router (one USB, one ethernet). The computer using ethernet loses its connection about 15 minutes into a session, and requires a reboot. The USB one does not do this. The problem occurs regardless of whether the USB conection is active or not.

Any ideas?

Have you tried it with a USB connection instead of an ethernet cable?
