  • Changing file extension.. EXE to MP3

    I have a file on my desktop that's classified as .exe

    how can I change it to .mp3?

    can you change it in a dos command line?

      or go to Tools, Folder Options

      View

      then uncheck the hide extentions for known file types

        Right-click and select "rename."

          why is it listed as a exe? It's probably a virus.

              Bring up your windows browser. (Not your internet browser) Across the top you will have File Edit View.... Tools. Click on Tools and go down to Folder Options. View is the middle option. Hide extensions for known file types is just under the hidden files and folders.
