Anybody read them? I do, and I am a casual collector. It's been a while since I took a count but I quite sure I have over 250 not counting graphic novels.

I've really been getting into graphic novels, and out of the traditional superhero saves the day things.

I really dig Alan Moore (you'd be a fool not to) and of course Frank Miller, Grant Morrison's 'The Filth' was just plain psychedelic to read, Osamu Tezuka has this really cool manga called Buddha about Siddartha and ancient India, also Sam Kieth is a genius with the Maxx.

As for artists, I have recently fallen in love with Mike Mignolas art in Hellboy, and I was amazed to find out that Frank Miller is a self taught artist and drew all of the art for Sin City, Neal Adams is good, Juan Jose Ryp blew me away of Frank miller's Robocop not to sound like a total Miller fanboy but the series is and I picked it up originally because of the incredibly detailed art, this guy's stuff isn't extremely lifelike, but has an amazing intense cartoon quality in it which is paired gainst incredible gore and which. It creates a very striking contradiction.

I used to read The Phantom as a kid. As an adult I'm no longer fond of comics. I find the halting style of reading them distracting. By halting, I mean I find it cumbersome reading the dialogue and other bits, then looking at the art work. I feel the same way when I watch a film with subtitles.

Not too many US titles, but since you mention Osamu Tezuka I can say definitely yes.

On the US side, I'm mostly fond of Roman Virge and Jhonen Vasquez type stuff (I'm particularly fond of Lenore: The Cute Little Dead Girl), with some Sandman thrown in.

On the Japanese side, I've been starting to build up. I used to buy mostly DVDs, but that's been slowing in favor of the manga. I mention several of the titles in the Anime Apolyton thread.

Nope. Never liked a comic book. But I absolutely love webcomics, my current favorite is Schlock Mercenary. I read about a half dozen webcomics daily (or however often they update).

I've got big boxes full of Spider-Man and X-Men and other assorted comics. For a while there back in the early 90's I was subscribing to every Spider-Man title. I've got a couple of key issues from then.

I might have a few worth some money too.

Ozzy, they are probably worth something, buy a price guide though before you go and try to sell them off.

Regarding webcomics, I don't read too many, but I was addicted to Mega Tokyo for a few days. All my friends like this one called Sluggy.

I used to read plenty of comics as a kid. Now I mostly only read newspaper strips and what I find in my sisters' bookshelves.

If you like Lenore, you might also like Gloom Cookie. Sandman is ace, of course.

I have like the first ten or so Swamp Things...

but I was never really into comics...

I bought some around the time Superman died, but lost interest.

                      Marvel for me.

Shoot, I still got the compendium of the "Infinity Gauntlet". I still read that from time to time.

It's bathroom reading material for me.

Used to collect mini-series a while back...

Sold most of them off but still have original Hellblazers and Sandmans from #1, complete series of Watchmen, Elektra (wasn't that movie just a total travesty!!?) and a few others.

Favourite series: Marshal Law (own everything ever printed!) by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill

A lot of people say I'm a uniformed thug, no better than the scum I hunt down... a fascist cop... a glorified Nazi... a legalized vigilante, handing out his own highly suspect street "justice"... someone with a pathological hatred of superheroes, reveling at the chance to beat the hell out of them. That sounds fair. I can live with that.
                          — Marshal Law
Marshal Law is the literal anti-hero, not just a flawed hero, but a hero-hater. Is there a coincidence that I hate traditional superhero comics with a passion?

Prize possession: Original 1st Ed Batman The Killing Joke signed by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland.

All individually sealed and backed. Mint condition, natch!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

That's about all that Infinity Gautnlet is good for. I like it, but really only as far as something cool to read while taking a dump. My favorite part is where Thanos turns Wolverine's skeleton to rubber.
