Earlier Winston started a thread called Boycott 2008 - I say why wait until then? I say Boycott China NOW!
Currently in the West we are guilty of fuelling the rapid expansion of the economy of a country that is using its revenues to massively modernise its military, and back regimes such as Sudan, Iran and Zimbabwe, as well as continuing its decades of destruction and ethnic cleansing of Tibet (50th anniversary this year!) and rampant disregard for the planet as it builds hundreds of dirty coal power stations to fuel its growth...
Of course we happily turn a blind eye because China's slavelike sweatshops undercut global competition churning out billions of garments that save us all a few pounds thus continuing the vicious circle as we flock to buy from where our clothes are cheapest...

Really, so many of us worry about the potential of a powerful China in the near future - are we not the very people responsible for this threat if we continue to fuel their economy?
