my city doesn't have any local talent.

I hear the band the Killers if from here. But I don't think they are any good. And the hair band Slaughter.

I have no desire to listen to either.

nope, that's all the bands that have made it big. My city is big now, but it hasn't always been. Most of the people that are here now, have came recently.

Oh, I forgot my high school alumni. She's my sweethart. The chick who sang Hey Mickey. Okay she graduated my high school many years before me. But I'd still have sex with her when I was 11 years old or so.

She even wore my high school cheerleading outfit during the video.

Most other famous people who came from (actually most of them weren't born here, but grew up here) my city are sports stars. Andre Aggassi, the golf dude, the Nascar guy.

              Saint Etienne: Groveley Road

A local group with a French name for local people with a yen for films with French titles about local places:

A beautifully shot and edited homage to London – a city that's always been a source of influence, inspiration and curiosity to so many. ‘Finisterre’, presented and scored by Saint Etienne, tries to identify the dreams that London holds for so many - the spaces between the landmarks, the spaces Londoners inhabit.
              Attached Files
Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

...patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone. Edith Cavell, 1915

Can anyone recommend some good celtic music?
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

                    Some Celtic-related stuff I like:

                    Loreena McKennitt
                    The Pogues
                    Cruachan
